About ATTNhealth

Built by the clinician who would order it.

ATTNhealth was started by a psychiatrist and physician-scientist who treats adults with ADHD.

The founder's story.

ATTNhealth's founder is a psychiatrist. He treats adults with ADHD, many of them diagnosed for the first time as adults. When he wants objective data on how someone's attention actually performs, each option has trade-offs: a neuropsychology referral and its wait, a cleared computerized attention test, or a separate cognitive battery for memory questions.

He is also a physician-scientist, trained in a discipline where you define a measurement, test it, publish it, and say where it falls short.

ATTNhealth applies that standard to a problem he sees every week: build the cognitive assessment he wants to be able to order, validate it in the open, and never claim more than the data shows.

Make measuring attention as routine as measuring blood pressure.

Blood pressure became routine because the measurement got cheap, fast, and trustworthy, and the reading went to someone who knew what to do with it. Cognitive measurement hasn't made that jump. We want any clinician who has a question about attention or memory to be able to get objective data as easily as a lab test, and to be able to trust it.

Five rules we don't bend.

  1. Evidence before claims. We won't say ATTNhealth does something until a published study shows it does.
  2. The clinician decides. We measure. Clinicians diagnose and treat.
  3. Validity before scores. If a session can't be trusted, we say so before showing a number.
  4. Methods in the open. How every score is computed is written down where clinicians can read it.
  5. Clinic before consumer. No direct-to-consumer product until the clinical evidence is in.

Narrow first. Then wider.

  1. Now · Phase 1In progress

    An ADHD battery first

To be validated in clinical studies and published, with an FDA pre-submission meeting planned and 510(k) as the planned pathway. This is the foundation everything else stands on.

  2. Next · Phase 2Planned

    A cognitive-decline battery

The same task engine, with memory tasks added, validated in its own study.

  3. Later · Phase 3Planned

    An interpretation layer

AI-drafted, plain-language report notes that clinicians review, edit, and sign.

  4. Later · Phase 4Planned

    More indications

Traumatic brain injury, post-COVID cognitive symptoms, pre-surgical baselines, and learning disorders.

  5. Later · Phase 5Planned

    Consumer and wellness uses

Only once the clinical evidence supports them.

Looking for a technical cofounder.

You'd own the platform: a browser-based testing engine where milliseconds matter, a reporting pipeline clinicians can rely on, and the security and compliance foundations a medical device needs. You've shipped production software that handles sensitive data. Bonus if you've worked on psychometrics, real-time browser performance, or FDA-regulated software.

You'd work directly with a psychiatrist-scientist who knows the clinical problem and the measurement science, and who needs a partner who knows how to build.

Or email hello@attnhealth.com with "Cofounder" in the subject.

Follow along, or get involved.

ATTNhealth isn't available yet and will be ordered by clinicians. We can't give medical advice. If you're concerned about attention or memory, please talk with your doctor.
